Our Philosophy
The Lake Erie Ballet’s Arts-In-Education program is a program through which dance is integrated into the academic setting. This program is dedicated to teaching students the basics of all dance disciplines, while maintaining a professional and enjoyable environment. In the past, over 1,500 area students have participated in the highly successful Arts-In-Education program.
After School Program
The after school program is a program that takes place after school, at a set time of your choice. This program is held right at your facility, so no transportation is needed. The after school program normally meets once or twice a week, depending on your needs and the number/ ages of the students involved. This program lasts approximately 12 weeks and the end of the dance experience is culminated with a dance recital, complete with costumes, props, awards and refreshments. The emphasis of this program is on having fun as well as exploring the various aspects of dance. Our instructors will work with you to create a program, which meets and exceeds your demands and expectations!
Dancin’ In The Classroom
The Lake Erie Ballet also strives to bridge the gap between dance and academia through Dancin’ In The Classroom. Instructors at the Lake Erie Ballet work with area teachers to create an educational lesson that allows dance to be a useful tool in further solidifying concepts presented in the classroom. This program is sure to be a success!
Lecture Demonstrations
The Lake Erie Ballet shares the world of dance with students through lecture demonstrations at local schools. Demonstrations last approximately 45 minutes in length and include a sample of ballet class work, dancing on pointé and excerpts from famous, classical ballets. The Lake Erie Ballet also performs classical children’s fairy tales students in local schools. Lecture demonstrations are the perfect insight to the world of dance for aspiring little ballerinas!
