Since 1958, the Lake Erie Ballet had promoted artistic growth by providing quality classical and contemporary performances and educational programs for the community and audiences throughout the region. With a focus on classical ballet supported by modern, jazz, and tap,Lake Erie Ballet, is dedicated to providing future leadership to the dance field through the development of professional dancers, teachers and choreographers. The Lake Erie Ballet and Mercyhurst College Dance Department began a unique collaboration in 1996. This collaboration strengthens our artistic gifts to you, our audience. Together, we are pleased to present this season accompanied by an educational lecture series. Come and join with us in the excitement of this 2007-2008 season. 2007-2008 Performances The evening will offer a dynamic array of dance works by Michael Gleason, Alethea Bodine and LEB's own Lesley Bories-Scalise. This performance will also feature two works by Erie's up-and-coming dance troupe - SoMar. You are invited to arrive early for our "Informance"
Reception. At 6:00 pm, prior to the performance, the
public will be invited to view excerpts of works
presented and speak with dancers and choreographers.
