Announces the 2009-2010 Season


The Lake Erie Ballet is proud to present "Matters of the Heart" - a dance collaborative, Friday ONLY Feb. 12, 8:00 pm in the H. O. Hirt Auditorium at the Blasco Library.
The evening will showcase local dance companies; Dafmark Dance Theatre, Erie Bayfront Dance Company, Shen and Bones Performance Group, SheWorks, Somar Dance Works and of course, the Lake Erie Ballet Sr. and Jr. Companies.
Come enjoy an evening of soul moving dance. This performance promises the embodiment of love, life, laughter and great passion - in dance. Tickets for this event are $15 for Students and Seniors, $25 for Adults and $40 per Couple and can be purchased on line: www.lakeerieballet.org/Tickets.htm or by calling the Lake Erie Ballet (814)871-4356 x6.
All tickets purchased before Feb. 10 will include the opportunity to win drawings for a free chocolate dessert or two free dinner entrees from participating Erie restaurants. A drawing for winners will be held of all ticket holders on Wednesday, Feb. 10th. |

Join the Lake Erie Ballet as we celebrate the power of art for "Art MOVES", May 14th, 2010 7:00 pm at the historic Warner Theatre.
The Lake Erie Ballet collaborates with the Erie Art Museum for this spring gala event. Choreographers of the Lake Erie Ballet will present dance works informed by special art works chosen from the Erie Art Museum's Private Collection. These extraordinary works of art, visual and dance, will be exhibited in the lobby and later performed on the stage of the lovely Warner Theatre. An opening artists reception will precede the evening's events in the lobby from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

A Special Student Performance Series will be offered at 10:00 am and 12:30 pm Friday, May 14. Tickets for this event are $5 Students and Seniors and $15 for Adults - a $5 discount will be given to each adult accompanied by 5 or more students or seniors. Since 1958, the Lake Erie Ballet had promoted artistic growth by providing quality classical and contemporary performances and educational programs for the community and audiences throughout the region.
With a focus on classical ballet supported by modern, jazz, and tap, the Lake Erie Ballet is dedicated to providing future leadership in the dance field through the development of professional dancers, teachers, choreographers and administrators.
The Lake Erie Ballet and Mercyhurst College Dance Department began a unique collaboration in 1996. This collaboration strengthens our artistic gifts to you, our audience and the Erie community. Together, we are pleased to present this season accompanied by an educational lecture and performance series. Come and join with us in the excitement of this - our 61st - season.
