Izabelly Possatto was born in Vila Velha, ES (Brazil) where she trained and danced professionally with Espaço da Dança. Ms. Possatto received a degree from Escuela Nacional de Cuba and is a graduate of School of the Bolshoi Theater in Brazil. Ms. Possatto is the recipient of several international dance competitions including; the Festival de Dança de Joinville, Festival Internacional de Cabo Frio, Seminário de Dança de Brasília, Passo de Arte, CBDD and the Youth America Grand Prix finals in New York in 2011. Her repertory includes all the traditional classical ballets as well innovative works by choreographers; Darren McIntyre, Liliani Cunha, Mitzi Marzzutti, Nerdim Montenegro & Ricardo Scheir. Ms. Possatto is excited to be in her first season with Lake Erie Ballet.
Kathryn began her early training at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio, under the direction of Melanie Szucs. She continued her training at Ohio Dance Theatre (Oberlin, OH) and summer intensives at Cincinnati Ballet. She then completed a B.A. in Dance Performance and a minor in Biology form Mercyhurst University’s Dance Department, where she had the opportunity to work with artists such as Tauna Hunter, Lesley Bories-Scalise, Melissa Bobick, Amanda Edge, and Rick McCullough. Kathryn spent her summers during college training at the Next Generation Ballet, ABT Austin, and ABT Collegiate intensive programs. She has performed in ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Pas de Quatre, Valse Fantaisie, La Fille Mal Gardée, Paquita, and The Nutcracker, as well as modern works like Jose Limon’s Waldstein Sonata during her college career. Kathryn was also chosen to perform in an ensemble at the NYC Finals for the YAGP competition in 2012 and in the NYCDA Destiny Rising Gala at the Joyce Theater in 2014 with Mercyhurst Ballet Theatre. She began her professional career as a founding member of the new Cleveland Ballet, where she worked with artists such as Gladisa Guadalupe, Cynthia Graham, and Ramon Ollér in his new production of Coppélia. She is thrilled to join Lake Erie Ballet for the 2016-17 season!
